STEM Scouts

When the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) decided to create an entirely new program geared to both boys and girls, they needed research to determine how to make the most of this new program launch.

The Challenge

Prior to the launch of the pilot STEM program by the Boy Scouts of America, Designsensory Intelligence was charged with assessing the strength of the concept with the core audiences—elementary through high school students, parents and potential volunteers.

The Solution

We employed both qualitative and quantitative techniques. This provided foundational knowledge from the perspective of a participant in order to best define the offering. Additionally, we conducted UX research during the wireframe stage of the website in order to design a site which provided the best experience possible.

The Result

The STEM program website garnered both participant and media attention, performed well for users, and won various design awards.
